Electropolishing is a chemical process that brightens stainless steel to a uniform luster.  Our process only removes a small uniform amount of the metal surface, usually only .0005".  All though the greatest results are achieved on 300 series stainless steel all nickel bearing alloys such as 400 series stainless steel, steel, aluminum, copper, brass, carbide, tool steels and other metals are impressive also.  While the surface of the metal is being brightened it is also being deburred and purged of hydrogen and passivation, the removal of iron (that causes surface corrosion) left behind by machining and tooling.
